Philippine Geothermal Production Company, Inc. (PGPC), a 100 percent Filipino company, was incorporated on 16 october 2001. Allfirst Equity Holdings, Inc. (AEHI) owns, directly and through its wholly owned subsidiaries, 100 percent of PGPC's shares. PGPC pioneered in geothermal energy development in the country and is operating the Tiwi Geothermal Field, located in the Province of Albay, and the Mak-Ban Geothermal Field, which straddles the Provinces of Laguna and Batangas.
PGPC operates steam fields in Tiwi, located in the Province of Albay, and in Mak-Ban which straddles the provinces of Laguna and Batangas.
As the pioneering geothermal developer in Southeast Asia, PGPC is committed to exploring, developing, and operating the geothermal fields in a safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally sustainable manner.
The fields in Tiwi, Albay and in Mak-Ban, Laguna have a combined installed capacity of 692 MW which supply steam to third-party-owned power plants.
The Tiwi geothermal field has a contract area of 5,087 hectares with 42 active production wells and 22 injection wells as of March 2017.
The Mak-Ban geothermal field has a contract area of 4,323 hectares hosting 66 active production and 15 injection wells as of March 2017.
PGPC continues the legacy of its predecessor which pioneered the commercial development of the country’s geothermal resources in 1971 in collaboration with the Philippine government.
